Do I need a rabies vaccine for a trekking or wildlife holiday?
It is commonly advised where you will be far from medical care or around animals. Rabies is passed on through bites, scratches and licks from infected mammals, and pre-exposure doses buy you time and simplify treatment if an exposure happens. Urgent medical care is still needed afterwards.
